The Highway Guardrail according to European EN 1317 H1W1 A Level. This system is composed of W Beam, Sigma Post. Post distance is 2 meters.
In order to be deployed across European road networks, Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) must comply with the technical specifications set forth in the European standard EN 1317. Compliance is verified through a series of mandatory crash tests, the parameters and performance criteria of which are strictly defined within the standard. Based on the outcomes of these tests, VRS are classified into designated performance levels. Each specific type of guardrail system is assessed under the corresponding part of the EN 1317 series, ensuring a tailored and rigorous evaluation framework.
